Visual Parallels: Breaking Bad + Pulp Fiction

“As I was rewatching Breaking Bad recently I noticed an astonishing amount of parallels to Pulp Fiction. I’m sure the creators and the writers of Breaking Bad saw Tarantino’s classic and some of these are just too similar to be dismissed as a coincidence.”

I had the exact same reaction watching Pulp Fiction two weeks ago. It’s well-known that Vince is huge fan of Tarantino (see Mr. White & Mr. Pink), but the volume of similarities with Pulp Fiction is really amazing, shot angles, set design, framing even character names. It’s the ultimate homage. Sati did a wonderful job with these. Her blog, Cinematic Corner, is very good. Go check it out.
